 Today we used the special watercolour paper and did a still life painting of the dahlias from our garden in a vase.

Sailability

 

I had my first experience at Sailability. My skipper was Dennis and I was in the orange boat. We were towed out into the harbour and then sailed around. A plane flew over us which was super cool. The wind got up a bit and made the water a little choppy, but it was so much fun. I hi - fived everyone.DG

Community inclusion at the WBCC

Fun morning at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. It wasn't as busy today and i got to say hi to people as I worked.

Outing

 

Today for our outing we went to Johnson's reserve, we explored a bit the place and we visited the waterfall. We had lots of fun! Gv

Sensory

 

I had an awesome time with the foil balloons and the fan. We even blew up some gloves that were really cool in the fan. It was lots of fun when it went high enough to block the projector and the lights reflected everywhere

Mt Maunganui candle

 In art we made this Mt Maunganui candle with shells from the beach, I loved making it and couldn’t wait to light it.

I was back at work at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. Folding clothes and telling everyone about the butterflies back at home.

I enjoyed looking for bugs in the garden and taking photos of them. There were some cool bees, butterflies and spiderwebs

Outing

 

Had a nice walk through yatton park, stopping and looking up all the trees. I even saw a plane witch made my day! -MN 

Sensory

 

I enjoyed the sensory VR goggles but I loved watching the traffic out the big windows upstairs more. I was excited watching the trucks go past and seeing them from above.

It was an interesting morning for sports. I was the grand stand audience and cheering them on from above... Until they started basketball and than I had to come show them my skills!

 We headed down to the historic for a nice walk around to see what's new , also stopped in for a look at the helicopter! -MN 

Art

Today I got to do some art at Arohanui. I painted flowers with bubble wrap, it was very cool to peel it off, look how concentrated I am in the picture. Such a nice afternoon. Gv

Sensory airplane

 

I got to look at a model airplane and watch it be built at the same time. It was great to point to each part of the airplane as I saw it and follow what was happening on the screen

I love the hot air balloons on the sensory room they were so much fun to pretend I was stepping up there with them

I had a great day out at the Welcome Bay Community Centre. First time there, so had a lot of fun saying hi to everyone and telling them about planes. I did also help with putting the clothes away too. SUCCESS!
