Rose Gardens

I had a lovely visit to the rose gardens here in Tauranga. there were lots of beautiful plants and flowers to look at, as well as butterflies and insects to see. What a lovely day for walking and exploring!

A man of many talents!

I have been having an excellent time at the centre this week. We had a fun outing in photography, I really enjoyed taking photos of the plants and flowers that were interesting me in the cool gardens that we saw at The Elms. There was a butterfly that hatched in the centre and was hiding high up on the roof in the pottery room but I managed to talk him down and release him outside in my favourite tree. I have been helping a lot around the centre and was snapped vacuuming the sensory room!

We had a visit to a very cool art gallery at the Historic Village here in Tauranga. It not only had sculptures that where done by the artists there, but there were also mosaics and other interesting works of art. I enjoyed studying them all closely and would live to go back soon with my friends. 

Plane building!

There has been lots of exciting things happening at the centre for me in the last few weeks. A new swan plant was brought into the centre that had a huge caterpillar, so I have enjoyed studying it closely. I has turned into a Chrysalis in front of our eyes! 

I have also been making a plane in woodwork. I have been following a blueprint, sawing, sanding and chiseling.

Back at Arohanui

I'm enjoying being back at Arohanui doing lots of things I've been swimming with my friends out to the shops for my personal book supplies I even helped wash the vans but I thort I would give the deck a scrub as well :)

Merry christmas

Last blog of the year........best christmas party at the Trinity Wharf it was dress up, I was Santa, and we even had our own fireworks show!  Been an awesome year, looking forward to seeing you all next year, merry christmas and a happy new year!

Exciting trip to butterfly creek

Well what an exciting day we had yesterday we set of for Auckland early In the morning and what do you think happens next? We break down half way oh no!! But thanks to Toyota paeroa for the lend of there rescue one van we where still able to make it to butter fly creek my favourite part was the butterflies that landed on my shoulder and the giant white bird.What an adventures day it was:)
